an arch wherethro'

"I am a part of all that I have met; yet all experience is an arch wherethro' gleams that untravell'd world whose margin fades for ever and for ever when I move."

The End of May

Harding has only been out a couple of weeks and I already need a "slow down."  Keri and I headed to Arizona to spend some time on the Navajo Reservation.  We are hoping to set up a program similar to HIZ-Path in Tuba City, AZ. The potential is there and the cost will be substantially less.  Harding has changed there approach to HIZ-Path which will cost our students a significantly greater amount of money.  It makes me sad, especially considering how much publicity HIZ-Path has brought to Harding. We are going to continue to push HIZ-Path but we see the need to develop an alternative.  Our goal is to take a group of undergraduates and graduates to AZ during Spring Break.  We will then see where we need to go from there.

Keri and I (Ian was on a Harding Academy Chorus tour) headed for AZ on Sunday, May 18, stopping at Mom's.  We spent a couple of nights there and helped around the place before continuing on Tuesday.  We made it to Albuquerque, NM on Tuesday night and on into Tuba City, AZ on Wednesday.  We arrived just in time to participate in a sweat lodge prayer session.
Thursday was spent looking around the area and Friday was spent meeting with different administrators.  Saturday, we headed for the Grand Canyon (about 45 miles away) and then on to Steve's (my brother) house in Prescott Valley. We spent Sunday with him and headed back to Searcy on Monday morning.
