No Sleep!

Keri is going through a very difficult time at the moment. We have had very little sleep for the last several nights. The issues are always different, but they all mean that she (and I) does (do) not sleep. Last night was the worst yet. We were in bed by 10:00 but she couldn't get to sleep. She needed a drink, then she needed an antacid pill, then she needed to go to the bathroom. Then we started through the list again. It was something about every 30 minutes. Around 4:00 am, I decided that she needed to sit up. I got her settled in her chair, covered with a blanket, and watching TV. She settled in. I got up several times to check but did get some sleep. Each time I looked in, she was watching the TV. When I went in at 6:00, she was wide awake, but later during breakfast, she kept falling asleep. I wonder if she will sleep all day and we will go through all of this again. It has been several days since she has had a bowel movement and several times last night she mentioned that she "hurt." I'm wondering if we are dealing with constipation again.

Ian posted this wonderful photo of Keri and I on his Facebook page. It has generated a great many comments. I'll try to post it later.

PASTA!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Keri was watching the Travel Channel while I was folding cloths in the bedroom. Everything seemed to be going well. We had a good morning. We made it to Church at 10:00 and then we joined everyone at the Mongolian Grill for lunch. Keri ate slowly, but everything went well. She was not as vocal as yesterday morning and I only sushed her once during Church. Unfortunately, she turned to me and said "Don't sush me!" For the most part, our morning went well. Keri seemed to be enjoying the Travel Channel as they talked about strange foods. I checked on her frequently. After awhile, Keri started shouting "pasta" from the living room. I wasn't sure whether she wanted some pasta right this minute or something else about pasta was bothering her. I changed the channel back to the Harry Potter marathon. I made her some coffee and got her a biscotti and she seemed to clam down. I'm going to need to get something from Dr. Duke this next week.
